Kampong Pluk

Kampong Phluk village or commune called " Phluk floating village " is located at the mouth of the Tonle Sap lake in Siem Reap with a population of several families living dependable dependent crops and river tourism.
At the edge of the flooded forest, a lively human community has settled in floating houses, a practical solution to cope with the changing water level of the lake. In the village, the visitor will see floating grocery boats and stores, restaurants, schools, pagodas, coffee and dessert sellers paddling gently along and guests can take a boat ride to see flooded forest fun.




All village life is organised around and heavily relies on fishing. Various types of traditional fishing gears are encountered on the lake as well as in the village and in the streams of the flooded forest.



Tourist takes about 30 minutes on the road , then a boat ride to the village Phluk which lasted 1 hour and a halfSome villagers raise fish in pens while others have set up crocodile farms behind their floating homes.
